Then head southeast of downtown and make art, make music, make up a story or poem, and win cash prizes at Masterpiece in a Day, Fountain Square's one-day art, music, and writing competition. Participating is easy (and FREE)! Bring your art supplies, your instrument, or your favorite pencil (or laptop). Spend the day in Fountain Square making something. Turn it in by 3, then hang around for the award ceremony. While you're waiting, join in – or gawk at – the Fountain Square Art Parade, and browse the Fountain Square Art Fair.

Passing by the fountain? Throw in a few coins and help support Art Squared! All monies collected from the fountain will be given to the Fountain Square Arts Council in support of their efforts to make September 22, 2012 the best art day ever.
