Presented by the Fountain Square Arts Council
When you come to Fountain Square on Saturday, September 21, 2013 you get three great art events for the price of...none! Masterpiece in a Day and the Fountain Square Art Parade are free to participate in or to watch. The Fountain Square Art Fair is free to attend (vendors pay a nominal space rental fee). The event is from 12-5pm.
Masterpiece in a Day is where you can find locals, artists, students, neighbors, and friends creating works of art in a day for cash prizes. It's Fountain Square's one-day art and writing competition. It's free to participate, just bring your favorite creating supplies and you're ready.
Fountain Square Art Parade is where you can be a part of a moving work of art. Build a float, wear an outfit, make a statement. Or just watch the art move...and maybe even move you. The rules simple: whatever you do has to be family-friendly, and has to be able to move along the entire parade route. And it doesn't cost a thing to participate. The parade showcases contemporary artworks of all sizes and shapes that celebrates parades, street pageantry, and community. This is an all-ages event.
Fountain Square Art Fair is a place for local Indiana artists and vendors to come together as a whole to sell their goods, art, hand-made items, etc. By keeping our booth fees low, you are able to experience a local Art Fair like no other; one where it is strictly local Indiana artists and vendors.
Make Art. Buy Art. Be Art.
