Deadline approaches. Call for Designers for Bags2Riches 2010, A Handbag Competition to Help Prevent Homelessness
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
Contest Name: “Bags2Riches 2010”
Description: The 5th annual handbag competition to prevent homelessness
Create an original handbag to be eligible to win the “The Most Original Handbag Award” with Grand Prize Package. A $10 entry fee for the contest. Winning designer wins $500 and a one year one year of promotion for their line from Aesthetic Design Style . Deadline for Entry is August 17, 2010. Local drop off times: Monday, August 16th from 10am -2pm and Tuesday, August 17th from 7:30am - 7:00PM at the Trusted Mentors Office: 872 Virginia Ave, Indianapolis, 46203
Judges will select 10 finalists. Criteria for selection include: originality, unique design elements, and quality of workmanship.
The Finalists will be highlighted on the www.bags2richesindy.org website beginning September 4th and then at the Bags2Riches Gala on September 24th. The Grand Prize winner will receive the most purchased votes. Each bag will be awarded to one voter.
Bags not chosen to be a Finalist will be sold or auctioned with proceeds benefiting Trusted Mentors’ efforts to prevent homelessness in Indianapolis. Trusted Mentors uses the power of mentoring to help adults establish stable lives by reducing the chaos brought about by poverty, homelessness, under-employment, and the effects of incarceration.
