La Margarita opens second location in Fountain Square INDIANAPOLIS (November 7, 2011) - For 25 years La Margarita has been serving unique, regional Mexican fare, created by the late Larry Rangel, to loyal customers on Indy's northside. A second La Margarita opened last Friday in the Murphy Arts Center in Fountain Square. Jon Carlos Rangel (Larry’s son) has teamed with his mother, Lori Rangel, to create an atmosphere reminiscent of the original outdoor Mexican eatery his father established in Broad Ripple in the 1980s. On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (November 10-12) La Margarita will be celebrating their Grand Opening, with drink and dining specials. The Fountain Square location features the same delicious menu as the northside restaurant, and boasts an expanded, upscale Tequila Bar that features more than seventy 100% agave tequilas. This summer, they’ll open an outdoor dining area with Indy's first "tequila garden" adjacent to the Indianapolis Cultural Trail. La Margarita Fountain Square has a comfortable, family-friendly vibe and a full-service bar. They’re open for lunch and dinner, 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. seven days a week. About Fountain Square: Fountain Square continues to flourish as a microcosm of global cuisine: Greek, Thai, Pan-Asian, traditional Mexican and Cantina, Italian, British, Barbecue, American Bistro, and classic American diner. La Margarita adds to the mix with their unique take on Mexican cuisine. These are the kind of locally owned restaurants that people make their regular haunt, and Fountain square has them all in one walkable neighborhood just southeast of downtown.
