Square Rootz Deli opens in Fountain Square INDIANAPOLIS (July 14, 2010) – A familiar face is back in Fountain Square. Jeff Reuter, part of the popular Joe Reuzar’s Deli that closed in 2005, has reworked the concept and opened Square Rootz Deli at 1110 Prospect Street, across from the Fountain Square Theatre Building. Fans of Joe Reuzar’s will find familiar offerings at Square Rootz: Boars Head meats and cheeses carefully crafted into tasty sandwiches, hot lunches featuring Jeff’s popular meat loaf, a robust selection of vintage sodas, and homemade deserts like almond cake and buttermilk pie. Reuter also has gluten-free options for wheat-sensitive diners. Square Rootz is open for lunch from 11-3 on Monday through Wednesday, and for lunch and dinner 11-9 Thursday through Saturday. At dinner, all of the counter-service lunch items will be available, with a few dinner-only offerings like Asian chicken salad and hot and cold appetizers. Beer and Wine will be available soon. The deli adds to the already diverse dining options available in the arts-focused neighborhood on the southeast side of Indianapolis. Reuter brings local art to the walls, with rotating shows and IDADA First Friday openings, and will be adding evenings of live music to the mix. With its whimsical décor and table games, Reuter has created a family-friendly, fun place to eat: “I want people to leave here with a smile on their face and a full belly.” Square Rootz Deli1110 Prospect Street 631-3354 jeff@squarerootzdeli.com www.squarerootzdeli.com
